By adding rye to your flapjacks you will be adding a more earthy flavor and a more fluffy, creamy texture. Yum! Try adding buttermilk in place of the milk to make your recipe even more special. Ingredients
- 1 cup rye flour
- ½ cup white flour
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup molasses
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 3 tbsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. Salt
Method
Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Mix well.
Drop onto hot griddle or frying pan by ¼ cup.
Cook until the flapjack bubbles, then flip.
Cook on the bottom side until the flapjack is golden brown.
Rye Flapjacks are ready.
