What could be better than a plate of honey smooth flapjacks to start off the day. Kids love them and they are fast and easy to make. You can top them off with syrup, butter or fruit. But if you are a big honey fan why not drizzle these yummy flapjacks in this honey and butter topping. Enjoy!
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4
Flapjack Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. Honey
Honey Syrup Ingredients
- ¾ cup honey
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ¼ tsp. vanilla
Method
Stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Make a hole in the bottom of the dry ingredients and add in the egg, milk and honey.
Mix well.
Drop onto greased griddle or pan by ¼ cups.
Cook each one until it bubbles, than turn and lightly brown the other side.
For the honey syrup, melt the butter and stir in the honey and vanilla.
Pour hot syrup over flapjacks.
American Honey Flapjacks are ready to serve.
